This will continue until we are . . . mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him. Ephesians 4:13 (CEV)
*** *** *** ***Becoming like Christ is a long, slow process of growth. Spiritual maturity is neither instant nor automatic; it is a gradual, progressive development that will take the rest of your life. Referring to this process, Paul said, “This will continue until we are . . . mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him” (Ephesians 4:13 CEV).You are a work in progress. Your spiritual transformation in developing the character of Jesus will take the rest of your life, and even then it won’t be completed here on earth. It will only be finished when you get to heaven or when Jesus returns. At that point, whatever unfinished work on your character is left will be wrapped up. The Bible says that when we are finally able to see Jesus perfectly, we will become perfectly like him: “We can’t even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is” (1 John 3:2 NLT).
Much confusion in the Christian life comes from ignoring the simple truth that God is far more interested in building your character than he is anything else. We worry when God seems silent on specific issues such as “What career should I choose?”
The truth is, there are many different careers that could be in God’s will for your life. What God cares about most is that whatever you do, you do in a Christlike manner (1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Corinthians 16:14; Colossians 3:17, 23).God is far more interested in who you are than in what you do. We are human beings, not human doings. God is much more concerned about your character than your career, because you will take your character into eternity, but not your career. The Bible warns, “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. . . . Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you” (Romans 12:2 MSG).You must make a counterculture decision to focus on becoming more like Jesus. Otherwise, other forces like peers, parents, co-workers, and culture will try to mold you into their image. Sadly, a quick review of many popular Christian books reveals that many believers have abandoned living for God’s great purposes and settled for personal fulfillment and emotional stability. That is narcissism, not discipleship.
Jesus did not die on the cross just so we could live comfortable, well-adjusted lives. His purpose is far deeper: he wants to make us like himself before he takes us to heaven. This is our greatest privilege, our immediate responsibility, and our ultimate destiny.

幾天前,和高中綠園的姊妹 Paula 、昨晚和NGO實習時的好友們再度重聚(photos),奇妙的是,她們覺得我還是孩子的樣貌(就算胖了點,她們也會說這樣比較好看 :P 老實說,這是我返台後最常聽的一句話喔,不分男女老少、親疏遠近,哈哈),但全都不約而同地說,我變得自信多了;

07.20 updated:Ooops....

I was so encouraged by Charles Stanley (by Wiki)for his impressive sermon "Investing in Eternity" tonight when I heard that from Good TV channel(台灣的好消息頻道).
Spreading the Gospel (Good News) is not a option, it's a command”, He said, which is very truth, we disciples can not have any excuses!
And that time I just realized, what I should do is to share what I've been changed after I met Him. I don't need to be theological or sharing all the knowledge I learnt from the Bible. The sermon releases me from the burden and stress for Sharing the Gospel to others in this very moment!
The notes from the sermon as following:
I. Introduction:God calls every follower of Christ to share the gospel. Don’t live for yourself only. Make an eternal impact on the world by helping fulfill the Great Commission.
Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20
II. Message:
A. The Great Commission was given to every single believer, not just pastors and missionaries.
    1. The Christian life isn’t just about believing, giving, praying, and attending church.
    2. Jesus told us to make disciples—baptizing them as a public sign of their faith and then teaching them to follow His commandments. Every one of us is called to teach others what we’ve learned.
    3. The Holy Spirit goes with us to tell us what to say.
    4. Share your experience. People can’t argue against it.
    5. We are to preach the gospel to the whole world, starting right where we are (Acts 1:8).
B. The message is simple, and the method is extraordinary.
    1. It’s the best message the world has ever heard—the only way our sins can be forgiven.
    2. The message is: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
    3. Sharing the gospel doesn’t require special technology or a specific method. The early believers didn’t even have the New Testament.
    4. For almost 2,000 years, the good news has been spread best through word of mouth; e.g., the apostle Paul.
C. Don’t second-guess your beliefs or get discouraged.
    1. The disciples had seen the resurrected Jesus. Their experience was undeniable, and they were motivated to obey Christ’s command; e.g., the two men on the road to Emmaus.
    2. Do you remember how you felt as a new Christian? Let that same excitement motivate you to tell others about Jesus.
    3. Don’t worry about having all the answers; just tell what has happened to you. Then your courage will start to grow.
    4. When those around you are suffering, take the opportunity to encourage them. Your compassion will show them God cares.
D. You can be a part of expanding the church worldwide.
    1. In Jesus’ day, there were 200 million people; today there are 6 billion people; our population is projected to reach 9 billion by 2050. We have a tremendous opportunity to reach the world with the gospel.
    2. God blesses you financially so you can share the message the world needs most.
    3. The Lord is working powerfully around the world; e.g., Iran, Korea, Mexico, Nepal, Philippines, Sudan, Vietnam, and Europe.
    4. God wants us to participate in missions somehow; e.g., pastors in China asked for discipleship and training rather than money or supplies.
    5. Be obedient and God will show you what to do; e.g., In Touch began with one radio broadcast and today owns a satellite network.
III. Closing:One day you will have to give an account for your life. Don’t live frivolously, spending your energies on pleasure or empty accomplishment. Make an eternal investment in the lives of others by telling them the good news about Christ.
Every person who trusts the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior becomes a follower of Jesus. To be a follower means there's action-something's going on.
In “Investing in Eternity”, Dr. Stanley explains that our lives have eternal results and that all believers, not just preachers and missionaries, are called to a life of action. We all can learn how to invest wisely in eternity with this message!

If any of you are interesting this topic, you can also find some ideas or questions from here for you bible studay/cell group members.

Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
